The process behind the wood sink was inspired by the sculpture of Toronto-based artist, and close friend, Scott Eunson.
Mahogany plywood was chosen as the material for the sink due to its marine-grade properties. After a Styrofoam prototype was made, the sink was created by the cutting out, stacking, and laminating of plywood, followed by the carving and sanding of the form. It was then sealed with four coats of marine epoxy and four coats of marine varnish.
